Holiday Home
As a charity we always wanted to reach a position where we could have a holiday home to be able to send patients.
Since 2016 this has been a reality and we have a beautiful static caravan on the East Coast in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire.
It is named 'Katie's Haven' in honour of the first gift we ever gave to a patient.
The charity caravan provides a perfect place for patients and their families and/or friends to be able to have a getaway and spend some relaxing time by the seaside.
The Mablethorpe town centre with various attractions and amusements is a short walk away, with the beach within a 5 minute walk of the campsite.
We raised the funds to be able to purchase the caravan and it is thoroughly cleaned between visitors on a completely voluntary basis by the charity committee.
In October 2023, we welcomed our 100th patient and their family to enjoy some time at our holiday home.
On average we provide holidays to approximately 20 patients and their family / friends per year.
